Willohill Begins

  1. It all started in 1975 with our first puppy, Brandalyn’s Lady Cinnamon. She was a terror, and why we ever wanted more Irish Setters remains a mystery to this day!

  2. After attending several dog shows, it became apparent Cinnamon was not ever going to be a show dog.

In 1976 we decided we were interested in the dog show world, so we bought the dog who was to become

Ch. Kavaneire’s Barnaby of Brask, CD. Barnaby was the reason we became involved in  the Irish Setter Club of the Pacific in the San Francisco Bay Area. Thanks to the many club members and friends who gave us much needed help, he became a Champion at age 8 and earned 10 Canadian points and his CD at age 10!

Next came Barnaby’s son and the first dog with the Willohill prefix, Willohill Madra Gaelic Rua.
